What is Cowboy Christmas?

Cowboy Christmas is the only official gift show of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (NFR). It has been a Las Vegas tradition since 1986 (per the official site).

Per the official page: more than 500,000 square feet of show floor and 375+ exhibitors from across the United States. Shoppers find custom-made jewelry, western wear, boots and spurs, furniture, original art, handmade crafts and home goods. Interactive draws include the Ariat Rodeo Live Stage and the YETI Junior National Finals Rodeo.

The NFR itself is at the Thomas & Mack Center; Cowboy Christmas runs in the same season at the Las Vegas Convention Center. You do not need an NFR ticket to enter the gift show (official: free admission, open to the public).

Why go

NFR nights need a ticket; Cowboy Christmas days are free. Between performances you can touch real western gear and fashion, catch a live stage, and soak in the culture at a density that's hard to find in one place in Japan. First NFR trip or longtime cowboy fan — this is the daytime home base that makes the whole week feel worth it.
